Thanks to Tony we finally got our first springer today after several weeks of trying under difficult conditions with the river going up and down with conditions changing every day and  the snow melt keeping the temperatures well below 50 degrees . A fine 9lb springer on the fly caught in the first croy.

Tony walks away with the bottle of malt for the first fish of the season. Hopefully lots more fish in April.
