August has continued to be hot and dry with the river running at or below summer levels for most of the past three months. Obviously this is not good for the fishing but thankfully the fish have kept coming with some lovely clean grilse running through the beat and prepared to take a fly or a lure.  This beauty was full of life and came around 9.30am when perhaps the river was a bit cooler.
